This book is written for people who are struggling with decisions for which they have no clear alternatives or no proven means of success.  It will guide you in looking at problems in a clear, objective way, seeking creative solutions, and deciding which alternatives will be most effective in changing the circumstances that now have you immobilized.  

The book is written in three parts:   

(1)    Tools for Self-Discovery offers exercises that I personally used to sort through issues on my journey.  The basic premise of the book is the formula for change 

Change = Discomfort + Methods + Process 

    You will learn exercises that aid in self-discovery and illustrations of other's who have confronted problems and come out on top.

(2)    The Process steps you through researching options, setting goals, and surviving the process.  At the end of these two sections, you should have a clear picture of what issues to work on and how to go about it.

(3)    The Inspiration tells the story of my family role models and my personal journey.  I come from a long line of southern "Steele Magnolias" and "Tall Southern Oaks".  My role models knew how to survive in style.  

Through the work of self-exploration comes new awareness.  New and different choices flow out of this awareness.  Since each person is totally unique, there are no "pat answers."  Any book or person that offers a cookie cutter approach to problems is misguiding the reader.
